I’m using BlueSky Now and why I support it

Today, I started using Bluesky.

Not as a trend, because the platform has been out since 2023. I decide to use it based on my own reflection of how I would like to exist online.

For a long time, social media has felt increasingly noisy, algorithm-driven, and extractive. What began as a space for connection has, in many ways, turned into a system that optimizes for attention over substance.

Bluesky feels different. It is definitely cleaner than Twitter or X.

It’s quieter. More informational and intentional. Less performative.

There’s a certain early-internet vibe to it . People are there because they want to be, not because they’re chasing fame or spotlights.

I support Bluesky because it represents something I believe in:

  • Decentralization over control
  • Choice over manipulation
  • Signal over noise

It’s not perfect. But it has everything I need. That’s exactly why it’s worth supporting now.

The platforms we invest our attention in today shape the kind of digital world we live in tomorrow.

If you’re there, feel free to connect. If not, it might be worth taking a look.
